Wire Drawing & Annealing Equipment
The Transformation from Raw Rod to Usable Wire
Before a wire can be used inside a cable, it must go through a transformation. Wire drawing is the process of reducing thick metal rods—like copper or aluminum—into finer, uniform wires by pulling them through a series of dies. This process improves the dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
Once the wire is drawn, it's still too hard and brittle for use. That's where annealing comes in: a controlled heat treatment that softens the metal, enhances flexibility, and restores electrical conductivity. Together, these two steps are essential to create high-quality conductors for power and communication cables.
